I have come to the conclusion that natural hair is so amazing, and beautiful; no matter how curly, or kinky. I've seen many styles, textures, and color of natural hair. I’ve heard transitioning from relaxed, to natural hair can be difficult. One important decision that has to made is, should you gradually cut the perm out, or cut it all at once. The most difficult problem is finding the right products to manage the hair, and finding that perfect style. Ladies, you know we buy hundreds of dollars worth of products, instead of trying just one product for six months. It’s funny because I still do it with relaxed hair.
My mom, and granny are rocking that close cut (shaved head) style; my daughter, cousin, and friend are rocking those dreads and they do look amazing. I have coworkers rocking their natural styles ranging from dreads, curly fro’s, and another close cut; as my cousin would say, “She wearing a boy hair cut”....
I can remember wearing a boy cut, but I don't know why. I think I was between 6-8 years old. Anyway I’ve used chemicals in my hair for years. Yes, I use to have a “Curl” way, way, back in the day; I bet you did too... Then as I matured, I transitioned to a “Relaxer”. As an adult I have no clue how my hair would be without the chemicals, or what my natural hair texture is.
But honey, there is one thing I must confess, I love that Creamy Crack….lol
It keeps my hair straight, and manageable.
When looking, and observing all the natural hair styles, and these beautiful people rocking them, it truly has me thinking about going NATURAL….
I don't know how I would do it; but if you know me, you know I love short hair, or no hair at all. So if I decided to go natural, I would gradually cut my hair, as you can see below. I can be tempted to cut it all off at once; but as long as HUBBY approves. If I decided to do this, what products would I use, because there are so many to select from?
I have a question for all my Natural Heads, why are you wearing your hair natural? Is it because of religious reasons, personal preference, or allergic reactions to harsh chemicals?
Now tell me, what products are you using to manage your Natural Hair?
